DMGMCH received National Quality Certification under the LaQshya Programme of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, for its Labour Room and Maternity Operation Theatre, recognizing excellence in maternal and newborn healthcare services.
International Day of Yoga 2026 – Yoga Sangam Participation
Deben Mahato Government Medical College (DMGMCH), Purulia, actively participated in the Yoga Sangam 2026 initiative organized under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, as part of the nationwide observance of the International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2026.
The event was conducted at the College Campus Grounds with the participation of 182 participants and was held simultaneously with the national Yoga Sangam programme led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. The institution received an official Yoga Sangam Patra from the Ministry of Ayush in recognition of its successful organization of the event and contribution to promoting yoga, wellness, and healthy living among students, healthcare professionals, and the community.
